About Us

In 1974, Harmon and Cheryl Myers began ministering to the people of Lanett, AL, and the surrounding communities. Working alongside local churches and charitable organizations, they identified individuals and families in need and responded with Christ-like compassion. As their outreach efforts expanded, their home could no longer accommodate the growing demand for assistance. In response, the Christian Service Center was officially established in 1990 and relocated to a larger warehouse facility near the junction of FOP and Cusseta Roads in Lanett.

Since then, the Christian Service Center has served as the hands and feet of Jesus in this region—living out His command to love our neighbors (Mark 12:31) and to care for “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40). Guided by the compassion of Christ, we provide food, clothing, household items, personal care essentials, and other vital services to those facing hardship.

In 2025, after decades of faithful service, Cheryl Myers stepped down as director and entrusted the leadership of the ministry to her daughter, Christy Eddy. Under Christy’s guidance, the Center continues to uphold its mission with the same heart for Christ and commitment to serving the community.

Through every act of kindness and generosity, we seek to share the hope of the Gospel and demonstrate God’s love in tangible, meaningful ways. Your continued support—through donations and prayer—helps us carry out this mission and bring light to those in need.
